Stefan Koopman: Donkies

Stefan Koopman is inspired by compositions created from the unconscious or 'coincidence'. Just as Sam Francis allowed paint to flow over dry and wet parts treated with Super Flow, Stefan Koopman goes a step further by consciously taking the resulting images a step further. The result is an image that yields multiple recognition points, the human brain gets to work with each individual in a different way. The subconscious image of Stefan Koopman becomes the subconscious image of the viewer. This painting is painted on a 3D canvas and the sides are painted, it does not need a frame and can be hung on the wall.
