Antoinette van Rij has deliberately chosen not to stretch her paintings. She works from a roll of linen. In this way, the pure simplicity of the canvas comes into its own and fits in better with its subject. The edges also remain visible, which gives the painting a lived-in effect. At the back of the painting, slats are attached to the top and bottom. The painting can be hung on the top lath. An advantage is that a large-sized painting can be transported rolled up. If you prefer to have the painting stretched on a wooden frame and possibly framed, this is of course also possible, please contact us for an impression and the costs. (This leaves about 5 cm from the edges)
