Stefan Koopman (1970)
In 2017, he took the drawing and painting course with Patricia Spoelder in Amsterdam and started at the CREJAT art academy in Alkmaar in 2020, where he remains affiliated to this day.
Inspired by various modern art movements and artists, his painting style can be placed in abstract expressionism, sometimes with a point of recognition. The spontaneous touch, bright colors and coarse structures are particularly striking. The use of images, composition, colors and surfaces & lines from the unconscious play an important role in creating an art expression that comes as close as possible to the artist's inner self.
