Modern Dutch Art is an art gallery created out of love for art.

Visual art, like other art forms, has the ability to move you. In visual arts, our visual senses are the gateway to our inner self. The image consisting of: colors, structure, lines and surfaces, in a composition does something to you that is often inexplicable. This is the moment when a work of art finds its kindred spirit.

Modern Dutch Art aims to find this like-minded person. To give the visual work of art a place where it will touch the viewer (hopefully daily).

Our collection consists of works of art by modern artists, mostly CoBrA, such as Corneille, Karel Appel and Engène Brands. View our modern art collection.

In addition to well-known modern artists, we have a large collection of approximately 20 contemporary Dutch artists. The contemporary artists affiliated with Modern Dutch Art have made their mark in the art world. View our contemporary art collection.

In addition to paintings, we have a large collection of bronze (animal) statues by the famous French animal sculptor Pierre CHENET. Pierre CHENET and his CHENET foundry were active in the period 1920-1980. View our collection of bronzes by Pierre CHENET.

Modern Dutch Art Gallery co-operates with the frame maker Staphorsius in Westzaan. Here you can view a work of art (by appointment) and select your frame in the frame shop with the help of the frame maker. Staphorsius is a famous frame maker in the Zaan area, active since 1967.
