My name is Linda Dammann, I was born in Haarlem and have happily lived in Maaseik, Belgium since 1995. I discovered painting in 2006. It immediately appealed to me and still when I start painting I lose all sense of time. Over the years I have developed in various styles.
With the use of natural colors in particular, the works are always in balance and have a certain serenity. Because earth tones have a soothing appearance, they play an important role in my work. I incorporate these calm tones with care and attention in my works with abstract images and in my canvases with processing of various (bust) images. Give your eyes the time and rest to discover new things.
Through the variation in light and dark I try to show the light in everything around you, there is always a bright spot, see the positive, be happy with the little things, a beautiful cloud on a sunny day. Happiness lies in small things.
My preference is for acrylic paint in combination with various materials to create depth in my work.
I have also provided illustrations for various books, including the children's book series Meisje Eigenwijsje.
